Nexera, the first exclusively wholesale telecommunications operator in Poland, has won the international Global Carrier Awards 2020 in the category Best OSS\/BSS Deployment. The jury has recognized the API implementation delivered by Nexera in cooperation with Enxoo. This award is particularly relevant for the telecommunications industry as it acknowledges innovation and technology as drivers for increasing network performance and related services.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pioneering solution gets awarded<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Global Carrier Awards are a prestigious international competition, awarding the most innovative companies that continuously strive to advance the telecommunications industry. Nexera was shortlisted for the awards for two consecutive years. In 2020, the API-based multifunctional platform, developed by Nexera in cooperation with Enxoo, was eventually recognized as the best BSS\/OSS deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The solution was developed in accordance with recommendations of the regulators and tailored to local market requirements. This is the first implementation of its kind in Poland, setting new standards for the industry. The Nexera system is aimed to increase the efficiency of services delivery of fiber-optic technology and enhance the cooperation between telecommunications operators. In the long term, the platform will create consistent and equal rules for operators, setting a blueprint for the optimal exchange of communication between them \u2013 all in compliance with the best practices and regulations of the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, 200 companies from all around the world were competing in 39 categories for the Global Carrier Awards. The winners were selected by a 20-person jury consisting of international industry experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nexera was established in 2017. The company is the first exclusively wholesale telecommunications operator in Poland building and managing fiber-optic infrastructure in 4 regions of the country. Thanks to Nexera\u2019s infrastructure, customers can take advantage of telecommunication offers provided by up to 7 retail operators, which is unique at an international level. In 2018, Nexera won the title of \u201cInnovator of the Year\u201d in the Golden Antennas competition, organized as part of the 18th Symposium of the World Telecommunications and Infrastructure. It also received an award for the Best Implementation of the Cloud Service in the Best in Cloud 2019 competition, which is organized by the editors of Computerworld Polska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Nexera<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nexera is Poland\u2019s first exclusively wholesale telecommunications operator developing a large-scale fiber-optic access network (NGA) of high throughput (min. 100 Mb\/s). The shareholders of Nexera are companies with long-standing experience in the global telecommunications market: Infracapital and Nokia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nexera is building an optical fiber network in 14 areas of central and north-eastern Poland on the basis of the Digital Poland Operational Programme (POPC). In 2019, Nexera initiated its own report #RegionyNexery2019, which is the result of a survey conducted jointly with the GfK agency. The report is one of the most comprehensive sources of knowledge about Polish Internet users in areas where broadband Internet access is lacking or limited (downloadable at #RegionyNexery). The survey and report will be carried out periodically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
